Flora Our Vendors Wild Hearts Auckland

Wildly Madly Deeply

To start, tell us about your business and how it was born?

Wildly Madly Deeply was born 6 years ago when we acquired the business and have successfully grown the business since. Debby (owner) has been in the industry for 10+ years with a focus on weddings and events. From there we have done a lot of work in growing our brand presence particularly in the Auckland region. We are now a well-known and loved name in the industry and our team are truly obsessed with weddings and events.

How would you describe your style?

We don’t limit ourselves to one style, but we love bights and pastels done in a modern way, using in season flowers. We are all about more flowers – less greenery. We feel our customers & clients appreciate the creativity we put into each of our arrangements making us standout in the industry.

What are your favourite flowers to work with? Tell us what would be included in your dream bouquet?

Daliahs are our favourite flowers to work with and really any spring flowers they are always so bright and happy. Cosmos is also one of our favourites but our bridal bouquet would be just a simple bunch of different block colour Gladiolus.

Tell us about what the process is for a couple starting to plan their wedding day florals?

Client contacts us, we organise a Zoom chat, talk through their wedding vibes dreams etc. we get their inspo images. Communication is key and listening to what our clients want is the most important thing for us.

What floral trends do you think we will be seeing this season?

More than likely there will be the pastel vibes inspirited by Bridgerton, a throw back to the Regency era. Smaller bouquets using single types of flowers, minimal stems. Also bouquets that are block colours to match bridesmaid dresses.

What do you love most about the Wild Hearts Wedding Fairs?

We absolutely love wedding fairs as it gives us the opportunity to connect with clients and potential couples. Chatting to people about their upcoming weddings and helping bring their wedding dreams to life is our favourite part of the job. We also love catching up with our fellow vendors. It’s a great time to reconnect and see the amazing work they all do.

Any advice on choosing flowers/floral arrangements for couples getting married?

We often see people with huge Pinterest boards and we get it Pinterest is an amazing source of inspiration, what we also see is people getting super overwhelmed by all of the different ideas and styles out there. What we always suggest to couples is to send us just one photo that really stands out to you as a couple or pick one area of your wedding i.e. the ceremony . We then as a business draw creative inspiration from that one image and create something unique for each wedding. This can also be swayed by the venue you choose. As most people would do a site visit and look at the ceremony areas and reception areas and draw inspiration from that. Some areas have beautiful big tress and flowers already built into the landscape so we can help to pull from these natural elements.

What’s coming up next for Wildly, Madly, Deeply?

In the imminent future we are hosting a Floral + Fizz evening at Yours Truly which will be a gorgeous evening for people to come and enjoy some chill out time whilst playing with fresh florals and sipping a cocktail or 2. Then it focusing on our busy upcoming wedding season, while florals will always be our number one we are putting a big emphasis on wedding planning and on the day coordination. We are finding people are coming to us for these jobs more and more which is a bit of a sign of the times.
