We speak to owner Sue Davidson about the idea behind Cin Cin…
Tell us about Cin Cin and how the brand came to be?
A moment before crossing the road in Ana Capri, Italy in 2019, a wee Pigagio Apé drove past us with a young family of 3 in the front seat. In that instant, I fell in love with the Apé scooter and so the journey started. New to the hospitality industry but very astute at entertaining and organizing business functions, the more I researched these nippy little scooters, the more I became aware that many had been converted into the cutest mobile bars and shipped round the world. Our love of friends, family, gathering’s and celebrations, I was on a mission… on 26 December 2023 my one-year long project arrived in NZ ready for a “sophisticated bar fitout”. The result, a stunning bar with 3 taps that can pour beer, the most perfect espresso martini and margarita. Add your bottled options and your celebration is in great hands and ready to go.
What wedding packages do you offer?
We offer two types of BYO wedding packages – one for up to 30 guests and another up to 60 guests. We will happily install and deliver, and both option are inclusive of glassware, garnishes and bartenders. We have optional extras available also should you wish to decorate the Ape a bit more…
What makes Cin Cin so unique?
CinCin bar is transported in an enclosed trailer and can be manoevered into many a small or large space with ease.
During our travels in Italy over the years, the words “CinCin” were prevalent throughout (meaning “to good health”) and so it became a perfect name when raising a glass to toast the bride and groom or any other celebration.
1967 was the year both my husband and I were born – on my search for the perfect Piaggo Apé, I was on a mission to find the 1967 shaped scooter to be refurbished and set for it’s new life in NZ. It is totally unique and styled by myself from the start to the finishing touches.
