Here at Wild Hearts we are all about the art of celebration, which is why we have teamed up with some of the best bars and mixers in the country to bring you a little Wild Hearts feature cocktail. Every month we will be heading to a new destination, with a series of cocktails and food inspiration each week.
This week we head to Italian inspired bar Baretta in the heart of Christchurch, where we chat to Nick Glen (a.k.a Nock) as he runs us though how to make this divine Baretta fav – the Sour Valentine.
“A sour is traditionally sour. The concept behind the Sour Valentine is about trying to be more than what you are. Contrary to the name, you experience warm and sweet flavours of hazelnut and raspberry but in the end you can’t get away from who you really are, in the end a sour will always be a sour.”

10ml Egg White (optional)
