Rustic elegance and historical charm, Fairfield House is a venue that holds a special place amongst the community in Nelson. Rich in history and carefully restored by the local community.
As long time lovers of Fairfield House, local photographers Ana Galloway and Rachael Brown wanted to create a little magic with this poetic styled shoot at the grand old homestead which is spilling with romantic charm and dreamy gardenscapes.
They created a setting with a group of local artisans, that was steeped in earthly textures, linens, ceramics, white and green unstructured florals. Imagine strolling through the secret gardens, with vows exchanged on the cobblestone pathway, then walking through the homestead’s ballroom, through the french doors and out on to the wooden verandas that are cascading with wisteria in the Spring and vines in the Summertime. An alfresco candlelit table setting with a jazz band playing in the corner and the Summer sun streaming in through the big old trees.
The perfect intimate celebration in the brick lined courtyard under the stars at Fairfield House.
