“She held the moon the way she held her own heart, as if it was the only light that could guide her through the darkest nights.” – Chrissie Pinney
A beautifully moody and mysterious styled shoot set inside the Waihi gold mine pumphouse ruin, its towering archaic structure creating a dark sanctuary from the elements.
Inside sat a beautiful table setting in gold and greys by stylist Samantha from Under The Wild Stars, referencing tones of a bygone era of the search for precious metals; framing a gorgeous cake decorated in ruby-red details by Spongedrop. Tumbling Autumnal-toned florals by On my Hand scatter delicately onto the asphalt floor.
The patterned lace of a stunning Rue de Seine gown pairs perfectly with jewels by Zoe & Morgan, glinting in the candlelight and evoking memories of the regions glittering history. Stationery featuring wildly elegant script and gold wax seal details by Charise Geyser Design was styled amongst clusters of quartz and gems. These ethereal elements juxtaposed against the ancient industrial walls created a darkly romantic hideaway scene captured beautifully by Light & Type.
