We at Wild Hearts are all about the art of celebration, especially when the festivities are this gorgeous!

This luxe afternoon unwind set-up was dreamed up by Justine of Hello Audrey for her friend Annalee; after discussing the need to take some time for self-love and to re-connect with friends. Centred around Bella, a beautiful bell tent adorned with romantic florals and wild foliage by Tanya from Flowerlounge, the celebration was all about friendship and unwinding with your tribe! Annalee’s gal pals spent the afternoon catching up over incredible platters by Public Catering and divine raw desserts by The Cake Diary.

Justine’s boho styling of layered rugs, kilim cushions and rustic seating was perfect for relaxing into, with pieces bought and borrowed from Plantation Design Store. Photographer Aimee Kelly was there to beautifully capture the festive moments, as was videographer Ben from DXATH media who created an incredible film for the girls (watch it here!)

Tell us a bit about yourselves and what inspired you to create this celebration?

Justine owns Hello Audrey, which is a full-service boutique bar business in Taranaki. They
have a gorgeous wee caravan bar for hire in the Lower North Island, a selection of custom
Boutique Bars and also beautiful Bella, a 5m bell tent for hire as well.
Annalee is a Taranaki born and raised girl, and is currently planning her own wedding while
building a new home with her fiance. With 5 years working as a freelance makeup artist and 3
years as a content creator on Youtube, Annalee became her own boss 12 months ago to
pursue her passion in the beauty industry!
Justine: “I had been wanting to do something with Bella in this style for a long time. I absolutely love this look but found it hard to create for a wedding as it didn’t fit in with the styles of weddings we had booked. Over breakfast one day with Annalee, we were talking about how crazy the wedding season is for us, it’s hard to see friends or take time for yourself. She was feeling run down so I suggested we do this for her – take an afternoon where it is literally all about reconnecting with friends and taking time for some self-love! We brainstormed, the idea grew as we fed off each other’s ideas so we set a date to make it happen. Annalee knew the overall concept, but I kept most of the details a secret, like the catering and treats for the tribe, so that she would be surprised on the day”.

Who did you have along with you?
Annalee: Some of my closest gal pals. My local friends Laura, Greer, Loren and Kirsty were
stoked to come and Megan came down from Auckland. Rebecca happened to be up from
Christchurch which was amazing timing, both Justine and I am friends with her and were so
happy she could come as well.

What creative brands were also involved?

Justine: I had a very specific look in mind, but I also wanted to do something that reflected Annalee. She is so stylish and beautiful, but also very down to earth and fun. She had all of her tribe wear white which I thought looked amazing – I had nothing to do with that! I then invited some local creative’s to be involved. To me, the flowers were the most important thing. I knew I wanted a dramatic entrance and having worked with Tanya from Flowerlounge many times, I knew she would create something epic. To get the right look for the styling, I went to Plantation Design Store. They have some incredible pieces that were perfect for this look. I purchased some and the rest were on loan, which was amazing. I wanted the food to be in line with my own health journey over the past year, so Public Catering created the most beautiful Moroccan & Salmon platters, plus some mega healthy salads for dinner. The Cake Diary does the most decadent raw treats and was happy to make some especially for the girls. My good friend and talented photographer Aimee Kelly came along to capture the day, as did local videographer Ben from DXATH media to create our epic video- (check it out here!)

Why is it important to “Celebrate your Tribe”?

Justine: It’s so important to celebrate your tribe! Life gets crazy busy sometimes and we forget to make time for ourselves and our friends. Having time to reconnect, laugh, eat, drink and just BE is for the soul. You can conquer anything with your friends by your side.

Annalee: Having an amazing support system of friends is so important and to me, my friends are the best of the best. Each and every one of them have such different qualities that I appreciate and need around me to keep me balanced. Celebrating my tribe of friends is so important to show them all how much I love and value them as a person and our friendship.
