An intimate and ethereal setting amongst the rustic surrounds of Queenstown’s, Moke Lake set the scene for Beth + Joe’s Central Otago Elopement. Not another soul insight, as they spoke their vows at the lake’s edge. A quiet moment of stillness to make promises of forever. It was poetic minimalism for the wild at heart.
Adventures continued down the road to Lake Wakatipus’s Bobs Cove, a remote location surrounded by native trees and deep turquoise water. As the sun set over the dreamscape mountain ranges,Beth’s lace sleeves of her Gown & Altar dress billowing in the warm mountain breeze, the glacial lake below glistened with a magical wonder. Ending the evening with champagne on the jetty to celebrate.
Moments documented by local wedding photographer Kate Craig-Brown and featuring Wild Hearts favourites, Beautiful Bridal Hair and Paige Shipstone Makeup.
“We get older and we get used to each other, we think alike, we read each other’s minds, we know what the other one wants without asking. Sometimes we irritate each other a little bit, maybe sometimes even take each other for granted. But once in a while like today, I meditate on it and realise how lucky I am to share my life with the greatest woman I ever met.” – Johnny Cash wrote to his wife Jean Carter
