We at Wild Hearts are so fortunate to get to work with and alongside the nations top creative businesses in the wedding industry – amazing brands that work so hard to help create their clients dream day. With all the talent behind the brands, we wanted to put the spotlight onto some of our favourites in the industry and share some insight into the inspiration.
We’re so excited to have Blair Gamblin, the National Education Manager for Bobbi Brown & Jo Malone London share her knowledge and passion with us. We loved having her join us this year at Wild Hearts Auckland, both backstage overseeing makeup for the runway and on our industry experts panel. She beautifully made over our runway models to look flawless and glowy as they strutted the runway, we wish we could have her do our makeup everyday! She also took the time to take part in our industry experts panel where she shared valuable insight into bridal makeup and skincare, what the current beauty trends are and where she sees the beauty industry heading.
We can’t wait to have Blair and her team with us for Christchurch and Queenstown in September later this year. Bobbi Brown are our major beauty sponsors for 2019, we love having them support us and can’t thank them enough for the work they do behind the scenes. All of us here at Wild Hearts really love their products and are so excited to have Bobbi Brown with us for another year of wild inspiration around the country!
Firstly we want to get to know you. Tell us about yourself, how you got into beauty, and what you do with Bobbi Brown? Hi, I’m Blair Gamblin, National Education Manager for Bobbi Brown and Jo Malone London. After finishing my Psychology Degree I was very run down and looking to take some time off to tap into my creativity before starting post grad. Fast forward 8 years and I’m still here doing what I love!
Run us through the Bobbi Brown bridal experience: Bobbi Brown Bridal Experience involves a 45minute consultation in store with one of our expert artists. This can either be done on the day of your wedding, or prior so that you can be your own professional makeup artist after picking up tips and tricks in a lesson format. $120 Booking Fee is redeemable on Bobbi Brown product purchased at the appointment.
How far out from the big day should brides book? In peak season, 9-12 months in advance.
What bridal trends are you expecting to see this season? Playing with texture has been a strong trend – think shimmery highlights dabbed onto the high points of the face, metallic golden hues swept across the eye lid and a perfectly pouted glossy lip.
What beauty advice would you give brides-to-be leading up to the wedding day? Flawless skin should probably be one of the top priorities for your wedding day. I recommend finding a reputable aesthetician 6 months – 1 year in advance who will work within your budget for clear, smooth, glowing skin. In combination with this, also ensure you adopt a good skincare routine long before the wedding day. If you suffer from pigmentation, acne scars or dull looking skin -Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Supplement is my go to!
And what is your favourite product right now? I am obsessed with Bobbi Brown Illuminating Moisture Balm! This hydrating, subtly pearlescent cream gives an even glow that makes foundation look more radiant and bare skin realistically dewy.
