Set inside Christchurch’s Ally & Sid is a styled shoot oozing with indulgent amber notes. The tablescape, embodied by spiced florals and sheathed in layers of auburn and oatmeal linen, ignited the urban locale and kindled the old with the new.
Artfully styled and captured by Jess McGhie, the dichotomy of past and present was indulgently alive. Table settings were affectionately picked from op-shops and the couple’s outfits were pre-loved and selected so they can be re-worn. Through stationery and signage, modern type and minimal composition was locked with toasted apricot hues of bygone decades. The wildly beautiful florals by The Flower Presswere a combination of fresh and dried, further mingling pre and future loving. A truly harmonious, zero waste collective.
A charismatic and seamless fusion of modest, considered elements and location amassed in a sentimental, simmering retro charm for two inner-city souls; a glistening illustration of an elopement for the urban heart.
