In This Together \\ A Message From Our Wild Hearts Founder

Dear wedding community and beautiful couples,

The last month has been crazy, huh?

COVID-19 seemingly came out of nowhere, and has completely shaken up our industry. With New Zealand currently in lockdown, we know a lot of you have been impacted directly by this crisis – it’s been an emotional and uncertain few weeks for both couples and vendors.

Despite these challenges, however, it’s been amazing to see our little community band together and show each other love, kindness and compassion.

It’s also an incredible opportunity for so many of us to pivot our businesses and explore new opportunities. Because life will return to normal, and when it does, couples will be getting married again. They’re still planning, still dreaming, and still excited about their big day – so they need our support now more than ever.

Unfortunately, we’ve had to postpone our Auckland, Nelson, Christchurch and Melbourne Wedding Fairs until 2021. In the meantime, we’ll be working with vendors to put plans in place for each of them to ensure we can hit the ground running next year.

But this doesn’t mean Wild Hearts is disappearing in 2020. Far from it, in fact!

We’ll be right here bringing brides-(and grooms)-to-be even more inspiration, real weddings and wild love stories than ever before. And to support our amazing community of vendors, we’ve been working hard on some new extensions to the business that are currently in the pipeline. Keep an eye out for an exciting announcement coming soon ♡

For our couples:

  • Our new look Wild Hearts Online Directory will be launching very soon, we’re putting the finishing touches on this beautifully curated space to find your perfect wedding vendors.
  • Get inspiration from the Wild Hearts blog, which is updated weekly with real weddings, wild love stories, and dreamy tutorials.
  • Our annual Wild Hearts Magazine is due to launch (both digitally and in print) in June.

We’re also about to launch a new ‘Behind the Brand’ film series.

These curated video interviews go deeper than any conversation at a wedding fair and are a great way to see behind the scenes footage (like action shots of a vendor creating, a tour of a caravan bar, or a close-up of beautiful gowns).

This beautiful film series is a new frontier of connecting vendors, industry experts and couples, in a digital format that’s accessible to all.

Want a sneak peek? Our first brand film will be launched in the next couple of weeks. We started this project just before lockdown, on a recent trip to Queenstown with Dawn Thomson and Gypsy West from The Lovers Elopement Co and Woven Images… you’re in for a treat!

For our vendors:

We know times are tough right now, but this quiet period is an opportunity for you to work on your business, gain knowledge and stay present in your community.

In the next few weeks, we’ll be launching New Zealand’s first 3-month Creative Master Class for entrepreneurs and business owners.

This online course will help you build the foundations of a sustainable and successful business, covering everything from social media, marketing and SEO to financial management, packaging and pricing, and content creation.

Think of it as your exclusive backstage pass to a room full of industry experts who are here to help shape a new breed of trail blazers in the wedding industry. If you’re ready to grow your business, build your confidence and emerge from this COVID-19 era as a leader, this Master Class is for you.

More information will be available in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned!

For now, try to remember that the magic won’t fade… all great things come from a rested, refreshed soul. Take this time to connect and reset. Enjoy time with your loved ones. When that sun rises, we’ll be ready to celebrate together!

Samantha – Founder & Director at Wild Hearts
