Christchurch put on a beautiful sunny and crisp day for us last Saturday for Wild Hearts Christchurch at Larcomb Vineyard! With a line-up of over 35 local vendors joining us from around the country as well as locally, our first South Island fair of 2018 went off with a bang!
The grounds and rustic buildings of Larcomb Vineyard provided the perfect setting for the range of talent that was on show. We started the day giving away sweet french macarons from Jaime les Macarons, where we had guests lining up at the door 20 minutes before the doors officially opened, keen to get their hands on the golden macaron which gave won one lucky winner a beautiful destination weekend away with Romer App.Guests entered through a stunning foliage arch created by floral-queens Gypsy from The Vase and Josie from Sweetpea Weddings, who also created the incredible branch installation above our runway! A beautiful boho-lounge lawn set-up by Gypset Style and Hire (including their amazing bell tent!) was adorned with florals by Flowerhead and was the setting for Radhas Henna to create some gorgeous henna patterns for guests all day long.
Our Together Journal VIP area was a cosy haven within a clear Continental Events Marquee, decorated with florals by Mrs Bottomleys Flowers, furniture by Silk Estate and styled by Gia Creative. VIP guests could sit and relax while checking out their jam-packed goodie bags and perusing items from our fave brands including Chaos & Harmony Shoes, Zoe & Morgan jewels, Linden Leaves and the beautiful latest edition of Together Journal, all while nibbling on treats from an amazing grazing table by Moveable Feasts! And of course, there was the Verve Clicquot bar!
Nearby, the venues small barn housed an inspiring group of vendors and experiences, including beauty treatments by The Pamper Bar Ferrymead and makeup touch ups by B’s Beauty Hub. The amazing Benny from WORLD was their too, hosting mini Find Your Fragrance workshops and inspiring guests about the world of scent. The Large Barn held our beautiful runway show (stay tuned for our runway recap later this week!) and industry chats with Greta from Together Journal, the gals from Miss Crabb and Benny from WORLD, who all inspired listeners about celebration, style and scent.
The incredible range of vendors within the large barn spanned bridal designers, fashion designers, florals, catering, furniture hire and styling, photographers, stationery designers, venues and more! We had live music throughout the day with Highkings DJ spinning great tunes, amazing live acoustic and singing by The White Tree and the talented Rachel Hamilton singing in the sunshine while guests tried out the Selfie Station or super-cute Blues Booth VW Photobooth nearby!
It was an absolutely beautiful day of inspiration, spent wandering the quaint grounds and rustic buildings of Larcomb and discovering the work of so many talented creatives. Each and every vendor styled their space so beautifully, we were blown away by the creativity of everybody involved on the day and would like to thank our vendors whole-heartedly for putting in so much effort that was easy to see in the beauty they created! Also, a big thankyou to the talented photographers who captured the below images for us: Ana Galloway Photography, Sarah Ryland and Sophie Isabella Photography, and the rad video by John at Velvet Photo and Cinema.
A HUGE thank you must also go to all of our Wild Hearts Christchurch sponsors, vendors, designers, behind the scenes teams and our amazing guests – the day was all we had dreamed and more! See and read more below about this incredible day.
