Vendor Love – GURĒ Botanicals

Wild Hearts - GURĒ Botanicals

Wild Hearts Loves – GURĒ Botanicals

Luxury living and organic skincare brand GURĒ Botanicals has fast become a favourite with the Wild Hearts team. Pronounced “Gu-ray” which is Japanese for grey and made here in New Zealand.  A scent of luxury romantic aromas, beautifully made with certified organic ingredients and modern Japanese styling.

Recently we sat down with the lovely Emily from GURĒ Botanicals to find out a little bit more about this beautiful new brand created with her sister Lucie and their love for pure living.

Wild Hearts - GURĒ Botanicals

Tell us a bit about GURĒ Botanicals?

We are just two crazy sisters with a passion for natural luxury homeware and products and we were just mad enough to turn our passion into a career. We decided to make all our products as simple and safe as possible so everyone can feel guilt free when using our products and know that only the best natural organic ingredients went into them.

Do you ‘Love what you do?’ Tell us why?

We could not be happier! It’s a crazy fast lifestyle but we get to meet so many amazing new people and it makes us so happy giving people a natural alternative to beauty and living products, even better knowing it makes others happy and living healthier, us included!

Biggest beauty myth…

Biggest myth would be, having to wear lots of makeup and contouring to look amazing, my new mantra is ‘less is more!’ embrace you natural features.

What is your favourite GURĒ product?

My (Emily’s) favourite product would have to be our Greentea & Lemongrass sugar scrub; it’s such a fresh revitalising smell and leaves my skin so hydrated and smooth.

What inspires you?

My family inspires me to give everything a go, do it for me and have fun along the way. There is nothing more inspiring than having a family, all with their own businesses and doing what they love. What also inspires me are all the natural ingredients we have on offer, a life living more naturally as well as the added luxury, that just inspires me to do more and create more amazing products.

Do you believe in love at first sight?

Love at first sight is something we completely believe is possible…. Have you not seen our sugar scrub packaging!

What is your ideal wedding destination?

Anywhere with a view, on the edge of a hill somewhere looking down over a town with the sea in the distance and mountains surrounding or ….the best wedding location I have come across was at Amar Mahal Hotel, Orchha, India. A Large grassed balcony looking out across temples, truly breathe taking.

Describe your current contents of your handbag?

Only my favourite two lippies Mother Pucker Gloss stick ‘nudist’ and L’Oreal ‘Forever frappe’, along with the must have Paw Paw ointment, Doterra ‘Elevation’ essential oil and just your everyday pair of vet nursing scissors…. Wallet and keys, if I could carry a scrub in my bag also, it would definitely be in there too!

What beauty advice would you give brides-to-be leading up to the wedding day?

Don’t try anything new, start using our sugar scrub well in advance to ensure your skin is kept moisturised and replenished up until your big day, any unwanted skin issues should be kept well at bay. A coconut oil hair mask, a few days before will do wonders to add shine and life to your locks and will help protect your hair from all the straightening/curling and hair madness to come.

    Beks AndersonChaos & Harmony

Over 10 years ago, Chaos & Harmony’s Creative Director and Founder, Beks Anderson and her husband sold everything they owned and moved to Italy so Beks could learn to design shoes at the Instituo Europeo di Design in Rome. She was taught by tutors who’d worked at Valentino and Fendi, among others, and learned how to infuse her lifelong love of texture, materials and leathers into comfortable, high-quality, hand-made shoes.

Twelve months later they returned to Mount Maunganui and created Chaos & Harmony - a market-leading, boutique shoe company. The name Chaos & Harmony reflects our love of textures to create depth – it brings about a curious contradiction. It also subtly sums up a woman’s world!
